Dana Swanton is an artist inspired by sailing and particularly competitive sailing where boats come into close proximity. She grew up in a large family in which competitive sailing was part of family life and it consequently feels part of her. Each painting tells a story of how we live - how we negotiate relationships within boundaries and how with courage we strive to realise our potential while ideally pursuing the excitement of life.
